I thought all refurbished/used items were a no go? Can electronics also be looked into, in a case by case basis?
What about Apple's officially refurbished products? Many of those are returned from lower down the supply chain for small defects (that are subsequently fixed and the product, thoroughly examined) or are perfectly functioning just-opened returns(which are also throughly examined). As far as iPads are concerned, Apple even goes to replace the battery and the outer shell. And the iPods get new batteries as well. Buyers say that for all intents and purposes, Apple's refurbs are as good as new, or perhaps even better, as they go a double checking, stricter the 2nd time around. And yeah, they come with the same warranty as new products.
